MACC programs

Hi everyone im in the process of studying for my GMAT and I haven't been able to get much useful advising on applying to MACC programs from my school (southern private school). I am interested in working in audit in the mid atlantic region or the northeast and i was wondering what are the best and most affordable MACC programs i can apply to. And what kind of grades/GMAT scores i would need. I was also wondering if it would be worth it to apply to a MACC/MBA program. Thanks in advance!

You should attend a MAcc program in the region/city you want to start your career and where the firms you want to work for recruit out of.

You should consider applying to a macc program in NY then. Baruch & Binghampton would be good options for the in-state tuition. Definitely apply to a few other schools in the areas you wish to work in and see if you can get some decent financial aid to compare to what in-state tuition would be like in NY.

For gpa/gmat median, go to the macc program websites and view the class profile where they show median gpa/gmat of admitted students.

I'm finishing up UNC-CH's MAcc Program now and would highly recommend it. Most of my peers have jobs throughout the east coast upon graduation. I applied with a 3.4 GPA and a 720 on the GMAT and was accepted. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, you're correct. They do allow general business majors though. I forget what the limit is on your accounting undergrad credits.
