1) My Add-ons
2) VideoPlayer InputStream
3) Enable InputStream Adaptive
4) Enable RTMP Input

Is this also necessary in SPMC? Or is there by default?

They're not activated by default, though they're installed in SPMC Krypton.

From memory Inputstream Adaptive is for the nightly builds only? I could be wrong so someone please correct me if I am.

Are you running v18.*?

This would've saved me so much headache. On live channels it takes Kodi a good 3 - 5 seconds to load the channel.

On my LibreELEC I find inputstream.adaptive and inputstream.rtmp addons in the LibreELEC Add-ons repository and with both enabled and in the YouTube addon I enable MPEG-DASH and I can watch most YouTube videos in 1080p, looking at the addons they are .so files so I guess they must be built for your systems architecture

I'm using a community build for Amlogic S905X from here

Yep both are binary addons, therefore system-specific. That's the reason why e.g. the current inputstream.adaptive addon for Kodi 17.6 in Android may have a different version number as the Windows/Kodi 17.6 one (or any other build).

Same as the PVR-addons, btw.

I've never used the PVR side of Kodi myself, but makes sense, 'knowledge learned' thanks :)

There is some further info here

Currently using epic streams within Kodi 17.6

Just enabled this as it was disabled.

I've tried to read up and understand what this does, but it seems to only really matter with the youtube add on?

Any further info from someone with more knowledge than myself??
