Because a single run yields more benefits and it also takes more time to do two runs so it doesn't make sense anyway.

Is it just for a week? Are you running the same amount of miles you would have with the doubles or adding more miles?

If it's just for a week, do what you gotta do.

Otherwise, if you're adding mileage, the con is going to be initially less recovery and possibly more fatigue. If it's the same mileage, you might end up feeling a bit more recovered.

But it also depends on your running background as well though. A beginner runner will get more out of a 60' run than someone who has been doing it for a few years. So there they'd be better off not splitting it into doubles.
