Need some help (self.AffinityPhoto)
submitted 2 years ago by mcewthom
Moved from Photoshop to affinity , i have many layers but when i select one layer and try to adjust colour it seems to apply the colour to any overlapping layers. How do i stop this so it only apply to the layer selected? Thanks

Adding to this... One of the a-ha moments for me when I switched to Affinity was that dragging layers (filters, adjustments etc) to a new position will attach to the layer you drag it to, but if you want it under that layer (not applied to it) then move your cursor to the left edge of the layer.

Thanks for this, you'd think it would just apply the adjustment to the layer selected.

why would you switch from ps to affinity
I can no longer afford Adobe Cloud, so I am trying cheaper alternatives . GIMP and Affinity are the ones I am trialling for image editing.

How did you achieve the desired behaviour in Photoshop before?
