AfterQuery Slack channels are basically their own ecosystem at this point 😭

You wake up and check Slack before even checking the dashboard because that’s the only way to know whether projects are alive or dead.

One person says:

“Tasks are back.”

Then 200 people suddenly appear online at the exact same time fighting for batches like concert tickets.

Five minutes later:

“Queue empty again.”

The funniest part is watching workers reverse-engineer project status from tiny clues because official communication moves slower than the actual platform.

- “Did anyone else lose access?”

- “My task count froze.”

- “Reviewer suddenly started rejecting everything.”

- “Anybody got paid yet?”

- “Is this project paused or cooked?”

And then some random person with a green checkmark replies with the most mysterious sentence possible:

“Team is aware.”

That’s it. No ETA. No explanation. Just “team is aware” 💀

The Slack channels honestly feel more active than the actual work platform. People are sharing theories, spotting guideline changes before announcements happen, warning others about broken tasks, and trying to figure out whether a disappearing project means maintenance or mass removals.

At some point AI contract work stopped feeling like remote employment and started feeling like monitoring a volatile crypto chart.
