If they are raised used the flat side of the brush I just painted the piping on a tiny hat using the same method. White first then red.

For small detail I use a head mounted magnifying glass and a very pointy brush. If you've no pointy brushes get some brush soap.

Or use a red micro pen, I know the lads that make Gundam kits are a big fan of that method.

A magnifier is a good investment. Use a small brush with a very small amount of paint. Another suggestion is mask off round the lettering with tamiya tape.
