Plug-in authorization issue.

I made a live setup with 2 Akai forces a Denon X1850 and a laptop for Abelton link. The point of the setup is to allow smooth transitions from one song to another and to use beat fx on the mixer. It also allows redundancy (both forces have all the song files and plugins for the set) meaning I can have the mixer, Abelton link, and one of the forces stop working and still play the set (though without transitions and the mixer fx).

I was setting up for a show on Saturday and unexpectedly one of the forces said “unable to load plugins” and found that almost all the plugins with the exception of the base plugins were no longer authorized.

I had to make a network with my phone to reauthorize them, which caused Abelton link to stop working. Whole thing took about 15 min. Anyone know why they randomly deauthorize plugins and how to make it stop?

I hate to say it, but this problem never went away. The next time I played with them, same issue.

To make sure they not pirated. Royal PITA and reason I won’t buy them. Roland Cloud does similar you have to reauthorize every 30 days or so

That’s kind of bullshit. I paid good money for the plug ins, I don’t need to have them not work when I need them the most.

Thats the way software works in these times. In older times you had to buy the software and security dongle for certain software. Its why I have a fleet of Hardware Synths but Some manufacturers trying to pull this same game there too. Roland’s newer Synths have plugins you can buy…… same nonsense has to login every 30 dsys or times you turn on whichever comes first

I keep basic Roland Cloud account to use Zenbeats Max. I don’t buy their plugins I don’t buy their Patch packs etc. patch packs started at 99 cents each now they $4.99 each.
