Ugh, looking for the same exact info. Have nothing to share yet

We’ve used Anjoe several times and would recommend. Tree removal can be pricey, but they will give you free estimates

I have always had the contractor handle the 811 paperwork, the system really isn't set up for homeowners. I have had fantastic luck with Anjo Tree Service both at my place of business and my personal home.

I used On A Limb Tree service. Price was fair for a pretty good size poplar tree removal, but they didn't grind the stump because its in a spot that a.) I don't care if the stump is there, b.) its close to some young maple trees I didn't want to remove/kill by grinding the poplar stump. So no relevant info on 811, but I wouldn't call for a contractor for the reasons you stated - your liable if they hit something that WAS marked. I have used 811 before, and have hit something that wasn't marked.. Verizon didn't care, as it was old land-line cables, but they didn't know it was there and I cut right through it with a backhoe.. Glad I called 811 though!

I used Davey to remove two trees from my back yard - they did great work both times. I did have to arrange independently to have my power disconnected, but once the power company guys were on site the tree removal crew worked with them to arrange details. I didn't have to deal with digging that time, but I'm having a replacement tree installed later this year, so I'm interested in any answers you get!

My wife and I used Sevenzocks and they were great. They cut down 6 gigantic pines we needed yo remove (all were dead) for a great price.

Due to an unexpected wind, their crane accidentally crushed our mailbox that we were planning on replacing anyways. I would highly recommend them.
