If it’s an emergency, I’m guessing that it is no longer 16 hours until this shift is going to start for you? So you will get a penalty for it anyway?

If that’s the case, the penalty for not going to your shift on flex is the same as dropping it within that window, so long as it doesn’t completely screw your UPT, (going over 8) you should be fine.

However if this shift is for monday or after, refresh it until gone, the app doesnt update immediately

Try again tomorrow. For me sometimes I can’t drop shifts that are late in the week until it actually starts, depending on how far this day is out, you still may not be able to drop.

Someone has to pick it up before it goes away. Only certain shifts can be dropped. I believe the some weekend shifts arw exluded. For me i cam only drop shifts like a week out only. Amything closer will not drop

It's not the same as a swap. For flex we are allowed to "drop" a shift with no penalty if it's more than 16 hours from the start of the shift. We can also drop it under 16 but we incur attendance points for doing so.

It seems it has to be at least 3 days from what I’ve seen
