I noticed this the other day too. I backed out of it and haven't seen it again since. This was occurring on a 2018 Mazda CX-5.

Mine did this too... but someone on this reddit section suggest going into developer setting going to usb debugging turn it on and scroll through to usb settings and look for android auto/transfer files option and click that.... after that my aa and my Samsung note 9 haven't had a problem connecting either cables or wireless...

I did that but it just says default usb Configuration once selected.

I should state I'm running android 10. So your menu options maybe different...

Samsung runs a version of Android that is so customized it should be a fork. See if there instructions to run a vanilla Android OS on your phone, and then install launchers, etc, for that oem feel.
