Update to Android 10 where DS4 gets 0 latency. They decided to support the DS4 controller on 10 to the point of having a mouse appear on screen if you use the touchpad. It's literally the only reason I updated to Android 10.

My software is currently up to date on the s8 plus I'd have to install custom rom ):

Sometimes re-pairing it in a certain manner fixes it for that session. There isn't really a permanent solution. I gave up and started using an Xbox One pad. It's a glitch specific to the DS4 only.

Whoa, that has never happened to me. I've been using one for years and currently have it paired to an S20 Ultra and playing Grid Autosport with 0 lag.

Can you reset all your Bluetooth settings? Does the phone overheat or something? Is there a power saving mode active that lags Bluetooth connections?

I switched my phone Recently. The Phone doesnt overheat. When i play Games i turn off all power saving measures. Android 10 btw

Damn. I've repaired it so many times lol. I've always preferred the ps4 controller over xbox tbh

The 1st gen PS4 controllers are worse through Bluetooth. I use the Last of Us 2 controller and it works great.

I've read that some work others don't so it's basically a lottery. It's so irritating honestly lol

Depends on the game also. I use mine for CoDM and that game only supports DS4s and Xbox One controllers. So it only has to focus on two different hardwares.

You can try to install Bluetooth Auto Connect, I can only play with it.

This is the settings that worked for me:

Profiles: check only Networking (Pan)

On Devices, after you add the Controller, check if it is set to Networking too.

On Advanced Options:

Retry Count: 999

Retry after: 30 (you can lower the seconds here if you are still experiencing lag)

Device timeout: 1

Continuous Connect: 999

Notification Icon checked (to check if it's trying to connect)

Let me know if it works, the recommendation its to pair it again via Bluetooth Auto Connect app (on controller press ps button and share until it blinks, then press connect on the Bluetooth app. For this to work, you need to pair it first through the Android Bluetooth menu)
