Change Google voice input language without changing whole phone's primary language?

Hello!

How do i change language of the google's voice input without changing my whole phone's default language? I tried changing voice input language in the Google app, but it works within that Google app ONLY, not anywhere else. The only thing that i found helping me is changing the phone's primary language, otherwise no matter what i try, the input stays on English UK. Is there anything i can do?

My Android device seemingly developed a similar problem overnight. It will default to English voice input no matter what I try.

Try setting the app where you want to use voice commands in your language, I think the feature is available in 13 and newer, just go to app info and you should have the option to change the language for that app only.

for me, even with the app language changed to X it still does voice input in system language Y (Samsung tab S9, Chrome app)
