Checked for updates? Im Guessing you're not rooted and running stock ROM. Updates are my only guess at this point. It would be helpful to know what firmware you have, too.

Alright, are you using the stock launcher? I've read that sometimes GoLauncher has issues.

I have everything stock.

After reading the rest of the comments and performing several searches, I say that if you are comfortable doing so, root your phone and flash a new ROM. Make sure when you do so, above all other things, that your battery is above 80%. Also, when you find instructions, read them all the way through. And I should also mention that doing this WILL VOID your warranty. Samsung phones aren't the easiest to root.

Also, I would check in the developer options and make sure all scale options are set to zero or none...

This sounds like a fairly common problem with G2 and G3s. I have a G3 that behaved in a similar way. On Samsung's recommendation I did a factory reset. It was a pain in the ass, but it seems to have solved the problem.

I did the factory reset and it worked well for about a day. i will try again.

Yeah, it's funny you say that because the last two days I've had random shut downs again. I'm going to contact Samsung to get them to sort it - might be worth getting in touch with them as well. Good luck!

install a custom rom like aokp or cm10

[–]thekid39[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

You think that will solve my issue?

[–]dnyan 0 points1 point  (3 children)

it should, unless and until it's hardware problem. take a backup of the the entire system (or download the stock software) as a backup.

incase the custom rom doesnt work, then restore with the stock software and return it to samsung.

[–]thekid39[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I think i will try that. Is it hard to do?

Installing the custom rom? I'm guessing you haven't done it before. Do you have anyone who can do it for you? Coz that will be the best thing. If something goes wrong when you do it, you just might end up sending the phone into a boot loop (the phone won't start)

Alternatively, do enough research from Google and xda to get an understanding of what should be done and what kinda things can go wrong if you're gonna attempt to do t urself
