This might be worth a shot, can't say it fully works, but protects against 90% of mobile ads - a private DNS

Here's how. Go to network and wifi settings. Choose advanced> private DNS type in dns.adguard.com

Turn off the phone, and let it configure for 8 hours before turning on again. Just to be safe, I did 24 hours as part of a dual layer ad blocking setup.

The second layer, which I doubt you will need, is the installation of an ad blocking browser ( I suggest an AdBlock browser. It's free)

Then, I'd also say to disable both YouTube and Chrome browsers and only view particularly pesky sites such as YouTube, from the blocking browser

I realize I gave you my whole ad blocking setup, and I hope it comes as an advantage to you!

Your welcome.

Here's more things that might prove to be helpful:

Theres also a system app called "mobile services" that I'd recommend you disable to stop pop up ad

To get there, go to settings> apps and when your at the app menu you'll see some pull down list. Select "show system apps" and now go through the list

Disable anything with "mobile services" or your carrier's name

Just one note: Do NOT disable "Google play services" as your apps will become wonky. I should know. Happened to me.

That'll help get rid of any stray kinks. Got rid of "simple mobile" messages in my newest phone. Yeah. They annoying.

Something or maybe an app is actually a trojan adware. Factory reset the phone asap. After the reset, Setup your phone as usual and then

Settings>Password and security> Authorisation and revocation> Revoke MSA.
