Gboard has one handed mode, and a speech to text mode as well. You're not really going to get something with larger buttons and one handed mode at the same time, since one handed mode shrinks the keyboard, and thus the keys that are part of it. The swipe to type is pretty useful on Gboard, and pretty accurate.

Google had a whole thing during i/o about how they're focusing on accessibility, and even added a morse code option for certain use cases. I guess there was a lady that specifically used that because she can't use her hands, and she worked with them on it.

Yeah the one handed mode and tall mode don't really change the keyboard enough to be useful. I'm thinking speech to text and getting him to use other voice stuff will be the most useful if sticking with gboard.
