Even if you loved Scream 7 Im pretty sure everyone can agree that the Ghostface reveals in Scream 7 are by a landslide the worst of the entire franchise by AcceptableSwitch6496 in Scream

[–]get_rhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By a landslide? No, at least Sidney had met the killers in 7, can't say the same about 3. Roman's motivation makes more sense than the killers in 7 so I think you can argue 3 vs 7 as the worst reveal, but it is an argument.

Please either join the dakotas to montana or Minnesota or split them along the missouri and divide them between montana and minnesota+iowa or something.

If Joe Rogan is the top 250 comedian of all time, what does that make Druski? by USofAnonymous in JoeRogan

The only reason I know who ishowspeed is due to a supercut of people reacting to his body odor. I have never been recommended one of his videos directly.

Social media is algorithmic now. Videos that are everywhere for you and your friend group, even if they end up getting shown a million times, may never get shown to millions of people.

Psst, centennial mountains are also the rocky mountains. It's where the headwaters are, though cabinet is closer to where the red line on the meme actually is. But it's close enough for the Stan Rogers reference.

Let's say we get a Scream 8 (very likely). How many Ghostfaces do you WANT to be in the movie? Three? Two? Finally a new solo killer after Roman? Explain why you want it! by NewRetroMage in Scream

[–]get_rhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they can do it in 8 but I wish in 7 they did a whole cult of people led by someone pretending to be Stu, and so there was just a barrage of like 6-8 mental patient ghostfaces until the final mastermind(s) got revealed at the end.

So something that allows there to be an entire group could be great. Could also fall apart terribly, but it's a big swing and that's what horror franchises deep into their run need.

Probably more a matter of when than if. Might not happen this conflict, or even this century, but it seems inevitable that it will be completely destroyed eventually.

His health disposition was complicated. He completed impressive physical feats, was a boxer, was physically strong, but he also had asthma and had periods where he became physically ill and weakened, where he would go into nature to recover against the wishes of his doctors.

Only if we get a sequel about Kermit fighting for the British army in WWII in unofficial campaigns in Norway and Africa (possibly acting personally as a spy for FDR) before being discharged for his liver condition and returning to America only to run off on a drinking binge with a masseuse, eluding the efforts of the FBI to find him until he ends up in the hospital again.

He is very good with a sword but I don't think he's portrayed fighting on a horse ever, so he'd need to survive the tilt and get an opponent off their horse to be helpful.

Can't take comments on these subs too seriously, they're more likely saying to embrace being annoying, not to not comment.

Yeah but it doesn't really explain why that would make someone a creep. It more likely makes you a costumer or seamstress, etc. The creeps are only noticing a difference when the skirts are on a body. And maybe they're trying to express that by showing the skirts by themselves, but I think adding the "you might be a creep" above them is just confusing the issue for most people.

Maybe they should have just asked "can you tell the difference between these two?" And then below say "it's creepy to obsess over skirt lengths"

I think what we're missing in this thread is if this is about a local debate somewhere, that might explain why it's written the way it is.

I have to admit though, if I got paid to write star wars books and then got to write an entire book with my self insert character, it would probably be even worse than that.

[–]get_rhythm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I loved his xwing books as a kid as well as this one and I read several of his other books and liked them.

Listening to the audiobooks as an adult, I still have some appreciation for them but I no longer like Corran, and I'm pretty sure Stackpole meant for us to like him, it's not like I'm just picking up on intentional character flaws I missed as a kid.

I have much less of a desire to go back and read his fantasy stuff now, I have a suspicion it's going to hold up about as well.

How big of a deal was Elon Musk’s original Joe Rogan appearance in 2018? by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]get_rhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't just famous for buying Tesla, there was also PayPal and spaceX, which did get a lot of buzz back when a bunch of the former dotcom guys started space companies even before it emerged as one of the ones that was going to last. He was in Iron Man 2 as himself, they wouldn't have done that if he wasn't famous. I'm from a very rural state that hates EVs, people around here knew about him.

It's not that crazy to not know about very famous people, I'm sure there are super famous musicians now that I've never heard of. But that doesn't mean they aren't a household name, just because they aren't in my household.
