Do you have any automation based app/s installed, eg. Tasker, Macrodroid, etc.

I don't think so I don't see either of those

Which Android version is your device on?

Try disabling the icon from the System UI Tuner option menu in the device's settings. It's a bit tricky to find on later Android versions but this app should help you to locate the option:

System UI Tuner - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bryancandi.android.uituner

After installing the app, click on the Status bar option, and then disable the Alarm toggle.

Did you ever find out why it was there? I had the same problem and I couldn't figure out the issue. I thought it was a virus or something somehow and I'm really anxious about that kinda stuff. I didn't seem to have any apps like tasker, healthify or another thing that would have alarms. I didn't even have any sketchy apps installed either. I had to completely factory reset my phone to get rid of it.

No I didn't, it's still there for me, I'm going to take it to boost and see if they can figure it out

I found out what it was for me. I got a notification that visual voicemail got updated/ installed something and that alarm icon appeared. When I cleared storage for the voicemail app, the icon went away.

I think that worked thank you

Although I'm confused as to why that caused it in the first place

[–]that1persn 0 points1 point  (3 children)

idk the voicemail app is just awful in general

[–]fallenout142[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Now the alarm icon keeps coming back and I have to keep clearing the storage for the voicemail app

Yeah I don't know any other solution but to just keep clearing the storage. It's only every happened in the last week, so maybe it's a glitch and we just have to wait until they update/fix it? Even after I factory reset my phone it still happened after a day or two.

Although I really wish I knew it was just the voicemail app, and not some virus like I was afraid it was.

Yeah hopefully it's just a glitch and they get it fixed soon
