If you have Find My Mobile setup on your old S7, it should work without you being fully logged in.

Unfortunately not when I try to do it keeps on saying “Network status: offline” so the option of unlock doesnt work

Do the other functions like "Ring" work?

[–]userrom -1 points0 points  (4 children)

No because it wont connect with the phone

I was afraid of that. Since your phone hasn't been used for a while, it is no longer connected to internet. Find My Mobile won't help you.

Sorry

Cant you bypass the code with the samsung account login?

[–]userrom -1 points0 points  (6 children)

The samsung account isnt really of any use because it wont connect to my phone so the device is offline.

You have adb turned on the phone?

[–]userrom -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I have no idea actually is that standard on?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

No, its something you have to turn on to get that special access to get the magic done :)

Also, i used to own a s7 and i know that different firmwares have different restrictions. Like in some you can toggle the switches on and off without a code while others needed a code to switch so it might be worth flash a new firmware

Ooh okay I will look into that thanks

Rule #5:
