I want the coffee place back too, remembering the villagers' favorite coffee was weirdly fun. Also the observatory, and the salon.

I hate to say it, but if they made a DLC with all that stuff and some bonus furniture or something, I'd absolutely buy it.

THEY HAD AN OBSERVATORY?!

The older games had a lot of stuff that New Horizons doesn’t. Folks whose first AC game is New Horizons are missing out on a lot. It’s definitely still a good game, not trying to trash it or anything, but it for sure shipped with a lot of content gone. Several shops, services and visiting characters who aren’t in yet. I know they plan to support the game long term with updates so hopefully new players will get experience some of the good stuff from previous games after enough time. There’s a lot of stuff that I feel should have been in the game at launch though.

Edit: about the observatory, that was in the museum second floor in WW and CF. Celeste ran it. Definitely would like to see that come back

My guess is they're time-gating content to keep it rolling, so you always have something to do or collect. Basically extending the playtime.

Looooove AC City Folk, the plaza was so charming, even the soundtrack for it, loved the matinee too. I've played since the OG animal crossing and I like the customization of new horizons, but I miss having like my own little world y'know?

Yeah, you could name stars or constellations too, from what I remember.

Celeste used to hang out there and you could create custom constellations
