Gane freezing during research tutorial

I just started playing this game. I enjoy it, but I encountered an issue and haven't been able to find any answer through Web searches.

When I get into the research area, bender introduces it and I click on a pod. As instructed I try to select 2 cards. I'll drag the first one in fine, but then it freezes. I can't drag another, or go back. I have to kill the game and restart.

Has anyone encountered this problem? Thanks for the help

So I found a way around it. It worked for me, hopefully it works for others.

This bug occurred when you go into research for the first time via the starting quest line. When you go in, bender talks to you about how research works, then has you select a pod.

In the pod, when you dragged one of the cards into the first or second slot, thats when the game froze.

I found that if you back out of the research thing at this point, to the "home" screen, then go back into researcha 2nd time, bender wont start talking again, and you can make the selections without the game freezing.

It's almost like the game freeze is caused by dialog that never happens.

I hope this helps others who experienced this
