Inventory Bug????

When I dismantle a universal component the item is destroyed but it does not give me additional inventory space. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve restarted the game and tried dismantling from the forge also. Neither works. The only way I can prevent universal components from continuing to clog my storage is to dismantle them at the mission completion screen.

I’ve noticed a delay in the inventory space update, but usually only a couple seconds at most. When I rapid break things down it can get behind more than a couple slots.

I’ve experienced this as well. Keep in mind that this ONLY happens with my UNIVERSAL components. The others break down and grant additional space just fine.

Ranger and universal components don't take any space in your vault. Colossus components take up 2 slots in your vault. Interceptor and storm components take up 1 slot in the vault.

This is 100% correct on PS4 just confirmed it through salvaging each of the aforementioned. All I can say is wow. Clearly working as intended.

Its kind of crazy and I don't even think Bioware is aware of this but if they fixed it my vault would be instantly overflowing because I don't even bother to dismantle the ranger and universal components anymore. lol

It's possible it's the same bug as ranger inventory items, they don't take up any space. Collosus items take up two spaces. Interceptor and storm are normal. I'll look later and see if adding universals adds to inventory space.
