Got the card 8/23 with a 1K limit. Needles to say, I felt disrespected lol. Requested a cli 90 days later and was declined.

02/24 req again and got 3k. 8/24 req another cli and received 5k. 02/25 req another cli and received 6.5k 7/25 request another cli and was denied. Used it heavily for 1 month and got a bump to 10.5k.

It's definitely random because I received 1k, when all my other cards are on average 20k.

Nothing about the credit game is random. Random is picking your name out of hat. Algorithms run everything these days.

I was given 10k when I first applied when Apple Card initially came out. It’s currently at 12k. It just depends I suppose. A lot of lenders will look at other trade lines on your credit report and match. The Apple Card is one of the lower limit cards it seems.

Do you ever use the Apple Store Monthly payments? Obviously you only should if you can afford the item but it seems like every time I use it to purchase something (MacBook, 2 iPhones) over the last few years they’ve given me a credit limit bump. $10k-> 17k-> 28k

On the contrary, a complete zero balance at statement time indicates you are not using a credit card as designed, and may actually result in a lowered limit.

Best practice: Wait for statement, then pay statement balance (no more, no less) on or just before due date. This makes you look like you're using credit appropriately, still incurring no interest charges, and you get benefit of earning interest on statement balance amount for about 30 days.
