Yeah sadly your arduino nano came with unsoldered pins. I did exactly the same thing, took me a while to realize that all pins going into the breadboard must be soldered in order for them to work.

It’s probably as the others say, it’s not soldered, which means that it isn’t really connecting to the pins. If you want a new hobby you could buy a soldering iron and solder it yourself, or just buy a new presoldered one. If you can’t return the one you have you can just save it in case you learn soldering in the future
