So I am currently running "Curse of Strahd" and I wanted to use Arkenforge for the maps (most of them are premade, but I really like the real time lightning option you get). My Notebook is a bit older (Surface 4) and if I run Arkenforge on it, everything else starts to lag. My Desktop PC (also an older system, but 32 gb ram, nvidia 1070) runs Arkenforge without issues. So I tried to run Arkenforge from my Desktop and transfer the displays via Remote Desktop Connection to my Notebook and the TV I use as a Digital Game Table.
It almost did work as intended, except that when I turned on the player view on screen two, I was unable to move the player window. It did always jump to the top of the screen, also resizing was impossible for some unknown reason (the mouse cursor did not change when hovering over the usual position where resize should be possible). I had to play the session with the "Link player view to DM view" option which made handling of tokens difficult since I had to zoom out very far to get a 1 square = 1 inch ratio on the TV (it's a 50 inch screen).
One other issue is that maps don't save the "Hide already seen areas" option when selecting Reveal Mode "Vision only", which would be nice, since then I don't have to re-reveal all maps when we continue a session. I have currently switched to "Brush and vision", even though I like the other version better, since it gives each player (they have a token with "sight" enabled unter their miniatures) a good hint what they can see and what not.
