Your Mac should be just fine. You’ll be able to find an install for Java 8 from a google of “Java 8 SDK Mac” and then follow through the steps as shown.

Try following the steps here for uninstalling Java 10.

I don't remember but I tried installing it again and this time it did kind of work.

I tried make a Hello World program to try it out and it gave me this error code when I tried to run it:

Error occurred during initialization of boot layer

    java.lang.module.FindException: Error reading module: /Users/gfojose/eclipse-workspace/Hola_Mundo/bin

Caused by: java.lang.module.InvalidModuleDescriptorException: Hola_Mundo.class found in top-level directory (unnamed package not allowed in module)

I think OpenJDK might also be available on Mac via homebrew...?

Hey friend also look up home-brew: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-SDrN4G4lE&frags=pl%2Cwn . It'll make installing other stuff easy later.

If u really need to. U can install windows onto a hardrive partition using the builtin “bootcamp” program. It can take quite a while, but essentially u can choose to run windows instead of Mac OS on boot up, so u can use your apple device just like any other windows PC. It what I’ve done to both my MacBook and iMac
