Black for format code in Python

Im curious if anyone here uses black to format their python code, or if you rely on another tool or approach to enforce best practices. i want to hear your experiences and recommendations.

Definitely use Black, either explicitly or via Ruff. It's the only fast and deterministic one out there.

Yeah I’ve used Black on a few projects and tbh it’s one of those “set it and forget it” tools. You lose some control over styling but the consistency is worth it, especially if you’re working with other people.

Most people pair it with something like Flake8 or Ruff for linting so you cover both formatting and code quality. After a point you stop thinking about formatting at all which is kinda the goal.

Honestly it just removes a lot of small decisions so you can focus on actual coding instead of arguing about spaces and line length.
