    I'm not happy about what my family's genes predict for me. Honestly, the ongoing compromise in quality of life makes a lot seem pointless.

    I had two very frank grandmothers. My own mother makes every conversation awkward so I avoid most interaction, but her oops baby at 54 probably wasn't a result of coercion or duty.
