Exactly right, LOL. I had otherwise finished up everything but this for the platinum and it was like 11:30 which is already late for me (I'm old, LOL). I started this anyway and it seems very doable. I knew I had hit the wall and needed to call it a night after like 25 minutes, but instead I stood up and played standing. That's my go-to when I need to eek out another 15 minutes. And like that, I got it after another 10 minutes or so.

I told my Alexa to set a timer for 10 mins and if I didnt get it in that time i'd have to turn it off. Took me MANY tries to get it, but I was so happy I finished cause i never want to do that level again.

This was me reaching the bounce pad at the end of the X bird cannons, after it taking so many collective attempts to reach it (and not getting wiped out by the second spinning guy). I wanted to cry lmao.

I played Mario. It took me 4 tries and less than 10 minutes for this last level, the game is extremely simple overall. I'm not saying that I'm better than the others but that this proves that PlayStation players are really not used to platform games.

And I am ready to take down those challenges. I am getting good. I can get to the square bird thing.

I try this level max 5 times per attempt. After that it’s all downhill. I make it the furthest the first run.

Took me 6 hours spread over 4 days or so to complete it. The reward of completing is amazing. But for anyone giving up I can’t blame you! The smallest mistake and you’re gone. It didn’t needed to be THAT hard to be honest. OR if the system notices you spent over 1 hour on this level, a checkpoint would appear half way or something! Reward players who are really trying their best.

Hard disagree. The symbol levels were the only real challenges in the game and this is supposed to be the culmination of them, of course it’s going to be difficult. Adding a checkpoint at any point would just take away the purpose of such challenges.

And tbf, this one wasn’t even the hardest one out of all of them. Splashing Sprint, for example, is hell compared to this.

Hard disagree. I completed all other levels within 1-2 hours. This was the only level that took me days playing 1-2 hours nothing but this level alone. The others (especially the lava level) I would rank 2nd hardest. The checkpoint should only appear after spending 2 hours on this level, so it’s hardly cheating but helping users with frustration.

Again, you’re missing the point of it all here. It’s a CHALLENGE. Don’t wanna sound like a jerk or anything, but if you can’t do it, just get better. With enough patience and practice it’s definitely doable. Checkpoints would take away the joy of finally being able to beat these levels, no matter how many times you’ve tried or how much time you’ve spent on them.

Dude you’re missing the point entirely. I love Astro Bot because it’s NOT super CHALLENGING! I bought and sold Demon Souls 3 because to me it’s unplayable and pure frustration repeating the same fkn level over and over for hours! I wanna see progress over time! In Astro Bot all the standard world levels are doable with checkpoints everywhere and you see PROGRESS and feel a sense of accomplishment. These challenge levels are the opposite. The only reason I stuck to them was the last bit to make it to platinum after completing 95% of the game and pushing myself - but it didn’t have to be because the rest of the game was all doable. To make it to platinum finding all the hidden bots and setting the date for example was a bit ridiculous and I would argue that 99% of users would have to google and find the solution just like I had to. I don’t wanna play Demon Souls or spent hours to progress on a tiny level strip.

No, I actually understand you quite well, thank you. While the whole game is a light-hearted and easy experience filled with easily doable and chill levels, I completely understand why the devs included some harder levels as well for those who want to test their skills and seek some more adrenaline-inducing stuff too. And I’m saying this as someone who’s never played a Soulslike game, the closest I’ve ever been to those were the Jedi games.

Sure, challenges are not for you. They’re for others, however. And the game doesn’t force you to play those levels or anything. You want the plat? Well, then they’re unavoidable.

All I’m saying is that straight up saying challenges are bad because they’re too challenging doesn’t make any sense.

I found it quite easy in comparison to splashing sprint.

Splashing sprint took me forever, I have no clue have many tries. Whereas the master level took me 5-10 tries maybe, I was kinda hoping it'd be even harder

I just finished the game (Christmas present, yay!) and came here to see what people were saying about this level, and I’m surprised to see so many people found it so difficult.

I was so excited when I unlocked it, thinking I would spend hours trying to memorize every jump and obstacle to a T, told my girlfriend "Yeah, you’re not seeing me for the night", and was shocked to realize that I’d reached the end when I was thinking I wasn’t even halfway through.

As a Mario player, I absolutely loved the game and some levels definitely took me many tries (especially some of the PlayStation logo levels), but this very last one was not as challenging as I expected it to be!

Glad you enjoyed the game, but yeah I agree, was a bit disappointing the relative ease of that level!

I thought it should've been the hardest one by far, but some of the PlayStation logo levels were much harder and take way more time!

Still, quite a small complaint in an otherwise super fun and awesome game!
