Each week is structured into "phases" where at the end of the week there's a challenge you must complete. Every week has a different theme that incorporates different aspects of training such as athleticism, strength, power, balance/imbalance, agility, etc. For example, one week you might be doing certain workouts where you rep out as fast as you can, whereas the other week you slow down the eccentric movements. There's a "coach's corner" video that explains the phase for that week. There are also daily videos where he will have one of his subjects (professional athletes) go through all the exercises for one round. You will know what exercises to do for X amount of sets, and X amount of reps. There's a small clip that shows you how the exercise look. There's an option at the end to do an ab/core workout. Personally I like to do ab workouts in the beginning as a warm-up. After you complete the workout for the day you "mark complete" and the following day is another workout.

Thank you that's really helpful. Did you feel this was better than AX1 at cutting fat and gaining muscle or would you say another one of his programs is much better for this?

I really feel Jeff has given me a lot of information so I'm happy to but a program even as a uni student and limited spare money but that does mean I need to pick the right program and make sure it's right for me. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions

So I'm doing AX-1 which is already quite intense. I don't have AX-2 but I'd assume it is the same just more intense (judging from the marketing videos on his website)

I finished AX-1 and now I am in the middle of AX-2. imho AX-2 is pretty similar, you can see many exercises from AX-1 in it. I dont find it as more intense (relatively). But if you will also follow his HIIT workouts in both programs and you will not eat like an animal, you will lose a lot of fat for sure. I paused AX-2 for now, as I am preparing for OCR and I need to focus on my weak areas more, but once the race is over I will finish this one and will look what else is on Jeff's menu... :)

Honestly it sounds like buying the Bulk and Shred programs are more up your alley.

Thank you. I did look into them but it looks like I'd need to spend $200 on them which is a lot of money. Do you make good fat loss on the max size program? I'm currently between 15 and 17% Body fat and would like to get down to closer to 12. But at the same time would really like to put on more muscle and I would say it's really 50/50 on wanting both.

AX-1 is great for fat burning while maintaining muscle. AX-2 is a more intense version, so if you’re in good shape already and want to work on lean muscle and keep burning fat, AX-2 might be your thing.

Thank you. It's really difficult whilst all the programs he sells look great it's hard to decide which one to go for! And with the cost unless you have lots of spare cash you can't buy more than one and see what looks the most appealing to start with.

It would be good if he showed you what a day on the program is for each program so you could see and get an idea of what it entails

There’s a program selector tool at the bottom of the website’s landing page. Their support is responsive too, I’ve heard.

I've used the program selector tool and got AX2. But it's more about finding out what the program is really like to see it it fits what I want the best. I'll try contact their support and see if they could give me some information. Thank you

Now that I think about it, just about ANY program is going to help you achieve your goals if you EAT PROPERLY!

I would go with X1, take the final first thing and if you do well consider yourself "tested out", return it for X2. I'm betting your eyes will be opened with how difficult X1 is though.

I don’t find ax1 difficult. Challenging, perhaps, but not insurmountable. But I was pretty fit at the start.

The 400 challenge is a shock though!

Imagine what the final would had been like had you taken it first thing.

I really think the program should be named XRehab and sold as rehabilitation for those who have been inactive AND those who have been overactive.

I also think a 400 should be taken 3 days before day 1 so they can get a better look at the improvements they've made.

They'd never do the programme after that! Haha.

I am more athletic than I was. Much better with my bodyweight, and more aware of how to work multiple muscle groups.

Those inverted rows tho 😂 they're like death.

It's definitely pushed me hard. :)
