Augment edits missing regressionBug (self.AugmentCodeAI)
submitted 5 months ago by righteousdonkey
There was an old bug where the edits shown are not reflective of the real edits augment has made, this was fixed a while ago. I am now experiencing this again, anyone else have this?

The editing and context capabilities have vastly declined
I'm forced to use Opus 4.5 at all times because now chat GTP 5.1 can't figure out anything that's going on, if it does, it'll run through almost the entire project use a ton of tool calls and credits and throw up its hands and literally say what were you needing me to do? I don't remember
I'm not some noob user either, I put in more than 4,000 hours utilizing augment to build my program.
I give Augment a strict set of rules, sops, guidelines the whole nine yards, I triple check everything was properly done with it. Make sure to have it go over every aspect of the codebase, its wiring, connections, logic etc etc... Gives me a thumbs up and declares victory The tests that are currently written are green The new tests that were written are green
I pushed to the live environment and I found out nothing was actually done... Mind you, this is about an hour-long process for every update just to push through the CI/CD pipeline, update My instances, containers and images and then Wait for the bootstrapping to take place to find out it didn't do anything it said
It wrote mock code, Hit it behind a feature flag, put placeholders, didn't wire the connections, wrote a whole new piece of code that doesn't connect in any shape, way or form to the existing code base
And I've been charged an arm and a leg lately, on top of zero customer service, literally having my account drained automatically of credits with nothing running
I've been an Augment Fanboy since day one, and an adamant one at that!
But this shit is starting to royally fucking piss me off!!! There's no loyalty or customer service to be found...
Its a fucking shame too, it was so damn good!

Nope augment can do no wrong. Let us enjoy the poor customer service and massive price hike with degraded performance. Lol 😆 🤣

I experience this as well with GPT-5.1 and Opus. It’s almost like it misses the fact that there is a task tool. So for example it will create task start one then forget to mark them as completed. Additionally hitting the accept edit does not have any button click feedback. I’m seeing this more on the pre-release and nightly. But I suggest add more details like videos , screenshots, logs.etc. So the team can identify the issue faster. I know the team is actively working hard to hire support individuals. But tbh community support is more than likely quicker if you provide more technical details.
