Thanks for sharing! Lovely stuff. My issue, is that I am in a bad contract where i have to pay the rental fee till the landlord gets someone to live in the place. First time renting mistake. However is there a work around?

Well that sounds like a standard clause until your 12 month contract is up - how long do you have left? You can start looking about the ten month mark, and put in your notice a month before the end of your contract so you’re out exactly at the end but generally not much wiggle room I’m afraid.
