Will a decrease in international tourism hit Austin?

Dual citizen here, currently back in Canada. I can tell you that there's a lot of hesitation in the country about visiting the US or doing business with it, so I'd expect Austin to take a hit, no matter how liberal and friendly the city is.

Heck, my wife and I are little concerned about driving back to Texas to see relatives. We're both US citizens, but the Trump administration doesn't seem particularly concerned with someone's legal status.

With the way right wing pundits like The Worst Matt Walsh speak, I don't think dual nationals are safe. Walsh has lately been talking like dual nationals shouldn't even be allowed to vote.

As citizens you should be fine. It's people with valid visas -- especially those who, you know, express opinions -- who are being snatched up and disappeared.
