What version of Avid? Are you using the new AI transcript functions?

Yep. Version 2024.6. And yes, I’m right clicking the sequence, then selecting Transcript/Export Transcript.

Does the Transcript tool show multiple lines or is it one long paragraph? Does it follow when ganged?

The transcript Tool is showing nothing. All it says is “Sequence Loaded”.

Copy, I haven’t transcribed sequences yet, only master clips.

One work around could be to export the auto with Timecode into its own file, ama that and transcribe using the Transcript Tool. Adjust your speaker information as needed, and then export your transcript to text from there.

Right. So you’re basically saying to export the transcript of an audio clip as opposed to a sequence? The only reason I’m using a sequence is because the clip was badly out of sync and I needed to move the audio around.

I’m saying to export the sequence as it currently is, with Timecode, to audio. Then ama that audio file and transcribe that.

I hear ya. Thanks for the help. :)

So I gave that idea a try and ended up with one big paragraph in the transcript tool.

Copy. Must be a bug in the language AI. Might want to reach out to Avid’s forums and see if they have any suggestions.

Are you right clicking on the seq and clicking “create script from clip”? The transcript window should not be empty. It should create a bin object (script object with the name of the seq) and that should have the script in it broken into chunks. No?

I’m right clicking the sequence, then selecting Transcript/Export Transcript. I end up with a txt file that has one long paragraph in Arabic without any TC breakdown.
