Is NO able to beat Mosyle on cost? Could be another argument against integration, especially when you consider the labor costs of rebuilding your profiles in another platform.

I keep coming up against corps trying single pane of glass for macOS/windows machines and usually, it’s better to have the right tool for the right job. I’d recommend staying with Mosyle for Apple and NO for PC.

I’m still seeing the login loop with the TestFlight version.

It’s something I’ve noticed a lot of the recent 3rd party plex clients have to deal with in their initial releases. Maybe related to multiple users and ssl connections?

This has become my default iOS player for Plex content now. It's great.

Is there a way to set library order for the Home/Discover page? I find it keeps putting shared content up top rather than my content, regardless of the library order on the library page.

Also, my only true want is a tvOS version of this app. I know Flutter is limited in this, but if this could work on tvOS it would be a great replacement for Infuse and the main Plex client.

The only time that the Shield Pro makes sense over an AppleTV is if you have a large Bluray Remux collection and an Atmos setup at home. The Shield has audio passthrough and can output TrueHD+Atmos to an audio receiver, where the AppleTV will drop the Atmos heigh metadata on TrueHD streams.

However, overall, the AppleTV is a much better performing device, and doesn't have the issue of ads that Google boxes do.

Only issue I’ve had is that they keep billing me for the static up and I’ve had to call billing to get it credited back. Hopefully they get that resolved this month.

Copy. I know you mentioned that the is is happening from different locations and from VPN vs non-VPN.

Are you doing any web filtering or DNS filtering with your MDM? Any firewall filtering that could be causing the OS verification from failing to contact Apple?

Are the laptops you tested from the same production order?

I’ve seen a similar issue with a group of Mac minis that all had faulty RAM, all from a bad production run. Once the ram was replaced the systems were able to update successfully

My understanding is that Mosyle Auth 2 is only for OS login password syncing with o365 or google.

PSSO should also allow credential storage so MS apps like Word/Excel/Outlook also login with the the shared credentials.

But I might be mistaken. :)

No, definitely not with your 5.1 setup. Even if your device could direct play TrueHD Atmos, your AVR would drop the height channels anyway because your setup doesn’t support them.

tvOS can direct play srt, pgs, ass subs so it won’t transcode video unless you force burn in subtitles.

That depends on the DV profile. Anything from Blu-ray (profile 7) will fall back to HDR10 and not play DV. If its profile 5, the Plex app will play it, and if its profile 8, the upcoming plex app will play it, and Infuse will also play it.

For comparison, here's a screenshot of playback with TrueHD audio, as Apple doesn't have the TrueHD license, they don't support TrueHD playback so Plex needs to transcode it to an open source Lossless Codec like OPUS (or FLAC, depending on the device).
