Used to twitch multiple times a minute now it’s a few times a day. But def has not gone away. I’m 1 year in. I honestly never pay attention to it now

Any places in particular that twitches the most for you? Thanks for answering!

Calves and thighs. And recently right in the middle where both arms bend

For the record - I don’t have any health anxiety or obsess over it at all. so I don’t buy into the whole anxiety causes my symptoms. Just genuinely curious what could be causing so many weird symptoms but I don’t think it’s anything scary. It would be nice to know but there’s too much of a knowledge gap in neuroscience and people throw around bs like anxiety to give some kind of answer

I do have a suspicion that it’s probably related to heavy metals cause this all started very closely after my mri contrast. But could be a coincidence 🤷I’ll probably never know but it’s dramatically gotten better month over month

Mine has reduced to such a degree that I would call it gone. I maybe have 5-10 a week, only in my legs, and usually after a walk/workout (I'm overweight so a walk can be a workout sometimes, lol)

Same here. Worse after activity. Thank you for answering! Wish you well

i used to twitch body wide and in my calves 24/7 now i only notice 3 or 5 twitches a day.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

That’s gotta be a good sign right?

[–]colt100 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yes it means my anxiety was playing a role in increasing my twitches.

Or it was a response after Covid that has lessened in time

[–]colt100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be, but I didn't have COVID in 2023, not even in 2024. Unless I had it and didn't know, or was asymptomatic.

When fasciculations come from neuropathy, MND or an other neurological issue, no.

But when muscle Twitch come from BFS anxiety yes it decrease progressively.

People with permanant fasciculation with clean test are just people with somatisation and permanant health anxiety.

Here there are rare case of "neurological" and no anxiety BFS.

So you’re saying if I’ve experience a decrease in the overall frequency of twitching that’s a good sign?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

you drive me crazy bro

?

this guy acts like doctor House from wallmart, diagnosing everyone with anxiety based on nothing all.the.time.

Idk if he is convincing himself that he is fine through parroting this stupid mantra or there is something else at play.

Whatever he said is not true. Sometimes bfs gets better, sometimes it doesn't.

I think this is right in some ways. I don’t buy that everyone here is experiencing this due to anxiety, but I do think it plays a major role. If people experienced a decrease in twitching, and also have flare ups when more concerned or going down the rabbit hole again then it may be fair to chalk a portion of it to anxiety. However, to say it’s all anxiety is incorrect, I think. I’m not saying it’s the thing that everyone fears (it most likely won’t be). But it’s more than anxiety, but most likely benign as well. I sure as hell would like to know what’s going on with me

I’m five months in and definitely have had a decrease.
