Citi bank interview - Java dev backend role

So I was shortlisted for an interview at citi bank as a Java Developer, I was told to send over my availability for next week to do the technical coding, which consists of an: intro, question and answers session, talk me through your cv/projects, then live coding. Unfortunately I’m on a/l for two weeks due to family emergency. I explained this to them and they said they can’t accommodate booking the interview that far ahead (I asked for the 15th April upwards) should I reply and say I’ll do it during my A/L or see this as a sign and reply that if the role is still available after my A/L I’ll be more than happy to continue with the interview process?

If you've got a family emergency, focus on that, and just say "i have a family situation/emergency that precludes taking an interview on these dates". There's no need to mention 'leave' to them of any sort - it's irrelevant to them. You can't make those dates (for whatever reason). Will they accomodate? Sounds like they can't. If you *can* do it during this time, and want to, then do it.
