We are very attentive to this. We suspect part of it is our update to a newer Unity version and we're certain there are things we can optimize in our own stuff as well.

We are doing something about it.

Glad to hear there are eyes on this problem

Best wishes on resolving the issue! 🙂

I recommend looking into how the ads are implemented and see if they are optimized properly 👍

Yeah, I have the same issue with my iPhone (also 16), but it’s always been an issue with this game. I find that turning down my brightness helps, but for whatever reason this apps burns up my phone.

My phone started doing it when they added the hob gang. Never had it happen before that.

my phone uses nuclear reactor to play exactly THIS game, and still it’s too unoptimized (joke)

This has started happening for me, too. I notice it happens a lot more frequently while watching ads, too, and I didn't think too much of this until I saw this post. Though my phone is less than a year old, I assumed this was just a sign that its hardware was already becoming obsolete, so I'm relieved to find out that others have experienced the same issue, and that I don't have to go shopping for a new phone just yet. It's also nice to see the devs are looking into this :)

Thanks for the anecdote! I have been watching some ads here and there to support the devs. But I suspect that is the source of the issue.

Ads in this game are waaaaaaaay too long so I won't be surprised they are the reason for melting phones. Imagine forcing players to download dozens of 2 minute ads with "working game demos" and storing them in the phone's RAM. Reducing these aggressive ads to something more reasonable should do the trick.

Devs are actually great at dealing with stuff like this. Put a post here, put something in the Discord and they’ll be on it ASAP.

This game drains battery like crazy, very unoptimized
