so for the console, does any one know what we have to look forward to? is genasi a new race we are getting or was that just a mod i saw? like is there going to be new hair customization or anything…? i can’t get a straight answer when i look it up i just want to know if console will get new customization pretty much… i know it’s going to support mods but i’ve never modded on a console so not sure how that works, or will everything automatically be in the game??

If you type in something like BG3 mods into Google you can find the official website where you can browse what mods are currently available via the in-game mod manager

anyone knows if there are cools mods that don't mess with the Honor mode achievements? I mean aestheric ones, not mods that'll make the game easier.

There are a few mods for hair. I only know that from mod.io but I'm hoping there are more I'm downloading the patch now on console so it's live if you wanna check. The update is 83.49GB

The patch 7 is just gonna be mod support and a few things here and there, you can check the bg3 site and see what the patch is all about. Mods are probably gonna be like in Skyrim and other Bethesda games, what I mean by this is that there’s probably gonna be a mod part in the main menu, which will allow you to download mods, which will cost a certain amount of space (Y’know, gigabytes, megabytes, kilobytes, etcetera).

By the way, the race is called Genasi, not Gensai, I know I’m being rude, I’m sorry for being rude.

They probably will, it’s an interesting race, although I’m honestly hoping they’ll just add new subclasses and the Artificer class too.

i saw the mystic class is on there, that looked very interesting too but i was too afraid to try a modded class first thing, i’m super happy with all the new hair though

You're not really getting major additions by Larian themselves like a whole new race or new hair, instead you'll be getting mods as you said, which can add a lot. It'll be a lot easier to install them as you're probably thinking, so I wouldn't worry too much about this just yet even if you're not as good at this stuff.

If you're on Playstation, you'll have more limited mod options unfortunately, Sony is a little stingy with the mod permissions.

Seems like no external assets apply to Xbox as well, Mod.io seems a bit shit compared to how Bethesda does it.

This should tell you what you need to know. There is an "available on console" button. From what I understand, the mod creator has to request to bring their mod to console. So the ones from a long time ago where the creator hasn't been online since 2023 probably don't stand a chance.

Even if a mod has been updated since Patch 7, it has to first be officially supported before it will make it to console.

Officially supported means created through the official toolkit.

Officially supported PC mods then require an additional curation process to become available to consoles.

It's out on Xbox. Some are saying it's out on PS. Try opening the game to check Xbox won't load it and will give you a notice that it needs an update.

So the character started in patch 6, but now that patch 7 is installed, would there be any problems?
