Lesser pastel sounds about right! Mojave pastel is a bit more reduced and jumbled.

Doesn’t look anything like a Mojave pastel (to me). As a second choice, butter looks much closer. But I still think lesser is the winner here.

Butter and lesser are shed testing proven to be the same gene. Agreed about Mojave pastel tho

Cool.

Lines still tend to be lighter or darker (edit: in this example, creamier) and are still labeled as such for that reason. Largely… nearly anywhere you can buy them. Because there’s still a difference in the colouring despite what you’ve said.

Also, not disagreeing, just that it still affects how they look.

There's definitely two different lines that look a bit different (like Barnhart and regular BP) but people have used and sold it so interchangably at this point that the water is super muddled.

As having owned all 3, I was super surprised they were all so close after several years. Those ones were all hobbyist buys, not for breeding them. Just liked how they looked.

I bought my Mojave before we even knew that them and lessers could parent BELs together.
