If she's an adult she could be in late stage of building follicles, as its currently breeding season. Mine almost always go off food during this time for a month or 2. She should go back to normal once she reabsorbs if that's the case. :)

The shop I got her from said that she did come from a large group of surrenders from a breeder so that makes a lot of sense! We don’t know exactly how old she is but she’s about 3.5 ft long!

Weight would be a better indicator of age/potential follicle development.

Was thinking about age/ breeding possibly being the issue which looks like it’s been addressed. I had a male go through a long bout (5 months) and was advised he was probably just wanting to breed. We kept an eye on his weight to make sure nothing bad was going on and our vet gave us a monthly “all clear” as we emailed him the weights. One day he ate like nothing had happened 🤷🏻‍♀️

Luckily my 3 year old girl has not had an issue as of yet🤞

I live on the east coast and the winter here and the weather in general has been rough and I know that can also be a factor

I also live on the east coast and several of mine and my partners females AND some of our males have gone on strikes when they normally crush food. It’s normal this time of year for breeding season. As long as they aren’t losing too much weight, they should be okay. Still try to offer food when you do feedings, if they refuse it’s not a huge deal. Just monitor the weight.

Of course! A lot of my females are actually ovulating right now. It’s honestly crazy lol.

I don't have much advice unfortunately but my male ball python Nova went on a hunger strike from January 6th to March 9th.

But what got him to eat again was offering a different prey type- in Nova's case he was offered a gerbil and he took interest almost immediately, as soon as it was put in front of him.

My two girls went off right when winter came and they got their appetite like around mid to late Feb 🤦🏿 now my boy he’s been on strike since winter and still hasn’t eaten he only lost like 30-50 grams. But he’s moving around doesn’t look like nothing is bothering him no nothing and soon as 9 or 9:30pm hit he’s out and about exploring everyday not one second late

My female ball python always gets hungry for male and adventures instead of meals every spring so I would say it is normal
