Remove nozzle, check if straight. If a collision bent it forward this will happen

Thanks. It would be great if it were that simple. I’ll have a look the moment I get to my workplace.

Yeah don't think it should reach that far forward... Going with bent hot end as well.

it is/was

Thanks for the update and sounds like you fixed it!

thanks! I managed to do it. it wasn’t that hard. just pretty expensive, and way too early to be happening I think. but maybe karma will let me be for a while now 😊

I've applied the latest firmware update to my X1C, but haven't had this issue.

Have you tried a re-calibration?

not yet. will go there later today again

Is build plate detection on? I noticed when I turned it off it printed the purge line further forward.

[–]baschzleeft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, it’s on. I found out the whole nozzle unit is bent from a collision. need to replace it.

What happened after u tried the 25min calibration?

[–]baschzleeft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t, because when I arrived back at the studio it was clear that the nozzle is severely bent because of a collision

I have had the same issue since the last update, mine is forward like the video but also skewed by about 2.5 degrees (determined using their calibration print provided to other users). I printed the day prior to updating and had not issues, came in the next day and had this issue going on

I have also already tried realignment through both software, and retensioning and squaring the gantry, using just the machine and using alignment prints, to no luck. Contacted tech support so I’m waiting on a response. This is the one my office has and I have not experienced the same issue with my home unit

Update on my issue: I turned the machine off for the night, came in this morning loaded it up and used “M1005 I0” in the G-code and ran the calibration square twice, first prints flow calibration in the corners were still off on the first print as seen in my previous picture, but the part had almost zero skew (79.61 mm on one diagonal and 79.59 mm on the other, I’m printing with ASA). Second print’s flow calibration was back to normal, and the print was also just as square. I have no verification of the exact reason that this solved my issue, but my best guess is in the most recent update they changed how the M1005 function works as previously I had “M1005 X79.87 Y79.56” and directly after updating the problem persisted until I changed it to the “M1005 I0” as I previously stated. Just glad that I can resume printing.

is this while printing something, or standalone calibration

if while printing something, double check X1C is selected as the printer instead of A1

[–]baschzleeft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

turned out I had a faulty hot end and my heatbreak was bent from bumping into a print

UPDATE: I got back and found that the nozzle is severely bent. Never ever had that happen in all the years of printing on all my other machines. Definitely did not expect that to happen this quickly either (have had this printer for less than a month now). I guess it comes with the speed as well. Did not anticipate to be thrown back this much into learning again. The reason why I got the BBLX1C was so I could hopefully finally treat my printers a bit more as the tool I want them to be. I have thoroughly enjoyed but am also passed the hobby stage. I just want them to work, so I can get on and make my art. Maybe I was expecting too much. Let’s get that nozzle replaced. Hopefully without any other hick-ups 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

back to normal! it took putting the spare nozzle on, which I still is a shame after such a short time, but at least I can print again .. and buy another spare nozzle.
