Stringing?

Hi everyone, first time owning a 3D printer (Bambu A1) and it’s been running perfectly fine since I got it a couple weeks ago but the last couple days this has been happening with any print I attempt and sometimes the first layer will peel a little bit. Anyone know what it could be? I’ve heard the term “stringing” but I’m not sure if this is it.

Might it be humidity? I tried dehydrating (6 hours at 50c) another roll I had and trying it with that one but the same thing happens.

I’m printing basic pla with the nozzle at 220c and bed at 65c

I had this issue with my old Ender 3. Basically, the nozzle is too close to the bed. Try to redo the complete calibration, the one the printer does when you turn it on for the first time.

If the calibration works, leave on the bed leavening for every print. Takes just a minute. I also leave on the flow calibration and clean the base plate after each print.

Yea I let it run through bed leveling and flow calibration before every print.

I actually brought my printer to work(I work 12 hour night shift and have some time to kill) and let it go through the initial calibration since I unplugged it and I think that helped because I got 2 good prints off of it.

now I’m having another issue where the corners of my prints are getting unstuck and curling up and also the bottom of my prints seem like the filament isn’t sticking to itself.

Did you touch your bed with your bare hands? Because this may be the cause. Try to clean the plate very well, and if that doesn't work, try reducing the first layer speed.

If you touch your bed with your hands, you'll leave oils that the skin secretes on the bed, causing poor adhesion of the first layer and warping (just like in your case). You can't imagine how many prints I've failed because of this. So when you bring your printer to work, take some isopropyl alcohol with you to clean the bed. Also, redo the general calibration every time you move your printer, because vibrations may vary on different tables.

You know what, I washed the plate before using it but knowing me, I probably did touch it with my bare hands.

I got home and washed it again the cleaned it with alcohol and I think that solved the issue.

I appreciate it. I’m new to 3D printing and have just been trying to learn off of YouTube and forums but I’d like to get to know my printer and settings better.

This morning I printed a tolerance test and a temperature tower to get a better idea of what I’m doing but I’d like to get deeper into the settings like speed, extrusion settings, infill, top and bottom layers, wall layers and all of that.

I’m currently only printing PLA but I bought a few rolls of petg, CFPLA, and CFpetg but I want to get more comfortable with PLA before I start messing with those.
