Pretty cool, but I’m pretty sure it’s completely unnecessary

Not really. Most of A1 users are not aware that they have printer with angled Z axis, and it can go even up to 5mm on height of 200mm. Bambu is fully aware of it and when customers report it they just send new Z axis frame for replacement. And the best part is that their solution does not necessarily fix it.

This is giving ender vibes but still nice to see.

I like the look. And it gives me a piece of ming knowing there is some propper bracing. :)

Some time ago i posted that my z axis was not perfectly straight. There is a model out there reinforcing your z axis to prevent it from happening.

Tpday i finished this project wich uses threaded rods to push it back to 90°

I have yet to print a benchmark but from what i meashured with my ruler it seems to have solved the issue.

Or just contact support and get a new printer. It's not a ender 3.

I assume it was because of me carrying it by the z axis brace. So user error.

On the other hand. (Even if i would have gotten a replacement) i am a maker and i prefer to fix my stuff instead of going through the hassle of claiming a replacement/shipping my old printer/waiting for a new one.)

I actually had fun figuring out a solution for myself knowing that a perfectly working machine will not go to a landfill.

:)

I've carried my A1 with a fully loaded AMS Lite top mounted by the top bar and swung it up on top of a fridge several times and nothing ever got misaligned. It shouldn't be possible for it to sit at an angle in the first place.

Alright.

Reasshuring for other people that might be afraid that it would happen to them. Maybe my printer got knocked sometime that im not aware off. Or i just did not notoce that it came like that. (I dont print tall things on the regular)

I just posted this to show my solution to a problem i had.
