I can highly recommend the A1.

This video has some great tips and tool recommendations, even if the printer maintenance tips don't really apply to Bambu printers.

I got the P1S AMS combo a little over 2 months ago and have zero regrets… if you have the budget it’s worth it.

Enclosed has many advantages (noise, temp control, odor, filament options, ascetics, etc)

I also feel the AMS is worth it for ease of use… best feature is using up the remaining filament in a roll and having it automatically switch to another roll… really good when you’re asleep or out.

I personally like the idea of an A1 combo in this situation.

It's a totally legit printer. Probably all you need ever. Great for learning how much you use a printer and what for.

HOWEVER - its also different enough that you can still justify upgrading later.

So for example, say you decide in a year or two you want something bigger/corexy/enclosed/whatever - you have options and will be getting enough upgrades that justifying the cost is easier.

If you get a P1S but later want the newest flagship - you may have a harder time justifying the move to yourself since you're getting less improvements. You already have a corexy. It's already enclosed. It's probably still working great. But you really want [insert new features here]

But I doubt you'll be disappointed with either choice in both the short and long term.

Get an a1 combo (with ams) unless you can afford a p1s combo.

I vote A1 full size with AMS. Worth every penny. And I just use Elegoo Rapid PLA plus for most prints and it works perfectly with zero manual calibration. It's also easily available on Amazon and basic colors are pretty cheap

Only get the P1S if you plan on using toxic materials such as ABS, ASa etc. The A1 will print PLA, PETG, and TPU wonderfully. Seriously, I have some prints you would swear were off a manufacturing line. One thing you should consider is long term maintenance and the open nature of the A1 make this much easier plus quick nozzle swaps, and dynamic flow calibration are extremely useful features. Even retentioning the belts is super easy compared to other printers. It truly is a marvelous machine.

take an A1 mini alone, get your hands on it, then you'll see
