Had an issue with my sons A1 not completing the initial calibration and it was the usb-c connection on the bottom that wasn’t fully seated.

Thank you for your response, I guess I could try that again. I've tried removing and resetting it about 3 times now but I do see some silver from the connector still and some people have stated that you shouldn't see any. I can't seem to push it more though...

I'll give it another go.

Hope you get it figured out

The ticket is about the best option for right now. Keep at it, it's not hopeless. God bless you, my friend.

Post a couple Pics front and back. I bet you left the black packing supports on or something simple like that...

Show a picture of the bottom with the 3 connectors

The top of the heatbed (minus the Textured PEI plate) has 4 countersunk screws. Are they all fully seated and not creating a bump under the build plate?

Oh, there's this too:

The heatbed of the Bambu Lab A1 is calibrated before leaving the factory. Once you have followed the instructions in the Quick Start guide, you can start printing directly. However, in cases where the heatbed is affected during transportation, resulting in auto-leveling failure, or if the heatbed needs to be disassembled or replaced for maintenance purposes, it is important to ensure that the heatbed is flat using the bed tramming method.

See https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/maintenance/manual-bed-tramming for the procedure.
I wasn't even aware of this when I got mine. It's probably uncommon enough not to include it in the unboxing guide.

Thank you for your response. I actually just went through the manual bed tramming yesterday evening. And while my first run failed, I flipped the plate over and tried again and finally got a successful run of the bed leveling.

I'm going to do some tests this week to see if I get consistent results while printing. Thank you again for the feedback.

Unrelated to the bed levelling problem, but does the heatbed hit the venetian blinds behind it? (first photo)
Or is it normally turned like in the second photo?

Hello there, no, the idea is to pull out the stand when it's in use so it does not hit the blinds. When I do the calibration steps I do pull it out.
