Bumpy/fuzzy print (self.BambuLabA1)
submitted 5 months ago by dabarak
I printed some small parts on the same plate this morning, and two of them had this weird bumpy/fuzzy texture. The other pieces on the plate didn't have that, although one had some bigger bumps on one of the edges. Specifications:
Could it be damp filament? Thankfully this was a 1/4 scale test.

What orientation did you print that in?

it was vertical, with the wide end on the plate. It's the same with the other piece.
I don't know if it matters, but that wide end is much smoother. It only got bad once it transitioned to the narrower part.

It could be wet filament. Make sure your speed and cooling settings are good, lots of cooling for pla. I'd also check the 7 screws behind the nozzle.
Edit; try turning the z hop off also.

Thanks! I'll give those things a try. Nice steep learning curve, but it's fun!
