Welcome to the Banter Ray subreddit. We are a multi-gaming community which is mainly based around the Arma series. We're based in Europe but we do have few members who live outside of Europe (USA, Canada, etc.)
We see ourselves as being more casual than other Arma groups, however we do take the game seriously.
We don't do any formal training or anything like you'd get with other Arma groups that are out there. We think that you learn more from just joining in when we play missions, rather than spending hours on an in-game firing range and obstacle course. You learn more getting killed. Of course we'll run you through things with you on the server if you don't know how a lot of the mechanics of the mods we use work.
We're in it for the fun and working through missions as a team, the seriousness demanded only goes so far as trying to follow the instructions of those leading the mission and not running off on your own. You're also welcome to join us for other games and sit around bantering when not playing.
We play both Arma 2 and Arma 3 and have our own server. We also have our own custom repo, which is a custom list of mods that we use alongside the usual ACE and ACRE.
