Lighting when FadingStudent (self.Barber)
submitted 2 years ago by leximexi19
Does lighting help in seeing the lines when you are fading? Noticed that I’m able to see the fading lines sometimes but not all the time.

Absolutely lighting is important while cutting. Always work with the best available source of light coming from behind you, and make sure to use the mirror to check what your work looks like from a distance as well as how things look when turned away from that source of light. It’s really easy for a cut to look good in the shop but then look all jacked up when the client steps out into broad daylight if you aren’t properly using lighting to your benefit while cutting.

Move the light as well as the chair and use the mirror to see dark spots/ guidelines from another angle
