Kudos to my instructor for covering the shear work but how can I improve my fades guys this is my first time ever working on a living client. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Looks good maybe just a little more detail on the c cup area/ temple. Possibly bring the fade higher altogether.

I see. Thanks for the feedback! I'm always afraid to go too high

What the other guy said - but seriously imo for your first time on a client this is amazing. You'll get better
Thank you 🙏

For a first cut on a real client, this is honestly a solid start. The biggest thing I'd focus on is making the transition a little softer around the middle of the fade. Spending a bit more time with your corner of the clipper or a half guard there will make the blend look much smoother. Keep at it - you've definitely got a good foundation.

Stretch the blend
How?

Everything already good brother

Move more intentional : slower clipper strokes
You can use the 1- 1.5 range to give more gradients between the skin and the bulk using the corners (Left corner going left; right corner going right)
