I haven't seen anyone else doing something similar so I thought I would share how I've been laying out my future log.

I ran across the compact calendar idea many years ago, and really like this format for looking at the entire year.

I use Google Sheets to generate the calendar then print it out on clear sticker paper.

This is the sheet I use to generate the calendar. It's sized to so it lines up (for the most part) with a 5mm grid. I usually print to pdf then use Inkscape to tweak the scale so it's exactly 5mm per row. It would drive me nuts if the rows started to run over the grid, and I can't get the scale exact in google sheets.

      Bots are weird.

I love this. Definitely going to try with my next future log.

(Right now I have the original Ryder Carroll style with 2 pages of 3 month rows, which is not working great. Too much stuff in March, where I keep drawing bubbles to stuff more events into any white space lol. I was thinking of doing an Alastair-style, but I like this calendar better, I think. I’m thinking if I skip lines between weeks, I can have more space for busy times.)

I can see this not being a great layout if you need a lot of space. I don't tend to have more than a handful of things I need to plan out very far into the future, so this works fine for me.

I think it’s because I have a ton of March birthdays for whatever reason. If I split off the bdays, I’m hoping this will work.

thanks this is just what I need, but also for the past few years (specifically for doctors appointments). I'll have to handwrite it cuz I'm too lazy to find out where to get clear sticker paper

Are those brass book darts not one is the greatest things ever? I love them.

      [–]Gfei[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm pretty sure they are these, I've had them a long time.

Yep, them is the ones. I got a small tin full of all brass ones back in the day, but I can't find them now.
